The aim of the EC is “To bring the Patricia family together in one place to celebrate our 100th anniversary.”
Centennial Dinner/Dance. This formal gala dinner event will be held at the Northlands
facility. The evening will feature a first-class meal, entertainment from the Edmonton
Police Service Pipes and Drums, the Royal Canadian Artillery Band, and a DJ and dancing.
Dress will be mess dress for serving soldiers, and black tie / evening gown or Regimental
blazer for Association, Foundation, and other attendees. Not your typical mess dinner, this
event will be fun for all. The dinner will be a three course meal:
Dinner Rolls & Butter
Wild Tuscan Greens – topped with golden beets, crumbled goat cheese, balsamic dressing
and a fine drizzle of truffle oil.
Tenderloin of Beef and Lobster Tail with a rich Lobster Newburg – roasted fingerling
potatoes, heirloom carrots, asparagus and grilled pepper.
Swedish Berry Truffle – crispy toasted honey and bourbon soaked cake layered with
seasonal berries and whipped cream.
Soldier’s Luncheon with CinC. A Soldier’s Lunch with the Colonel-in-Chief for all
Master-Corporals, Corporals and Privates serving in the Regular Force and who are
attending the EC will be held. This event replicates the dinner held in honour of Lady
Patricia’s wedding in 1919.
EC Closure. This will consist of a farewell lunch and toast to the Regiment at the
Better ‘Ole, and will include the start to the Memorial Baton Relay.
The Better ‘Ole will remain open into the night.
Registration Continues. A registration booth will be open on August 5th at the location of
the Better ‘Ole (The Lecture Training Facility at Edmonton Garrison.) Those who have
registered in advance will be able to pick up their registration packages at this location.
Centennial Golf Tournament. This tournament will be a shotgun style format and will be
held at the Edmonton Garrison Memorial Golf Course. Teams of four are welcome to
National Association Meeting. The Association AGM will be held on the morning of

Regimental Centennial Parade. Commencing at 1100 hours, this is the focal event of the EC and 1CMBG Military Heritage Day. Guards from all three Patricia Battalions will participate with a senior reviewing officer and the Colonel-in-Chief in attendance. This parade will demonstrate the skill, discipline, and precision of an Infantry Regiment.”
